Grants
The NNHRR previously offered two grant schemes designed to foster academic collaboration and professional growth for our members:
-
Research Workshops on Human Rights: Network members could propose workshops involving their faculty, members from other stakeholder universities within the Network, and researchers from third-party institutions. These workshops aimed to enhance academic exchange opportunities for Network members across all themes, levels of seniority, and research fields.
-
Conference Attendance Grants: Designed for PhD members, this grant supported participation in conferences and academic events on human rights. It sought to give junior members opportunities to develop their expertise, build connections, and strengthen their presence in the global academic community.
We were temporarily able to offer these grant schemes due to a surplus of funds built up during the pandemic when in person events were paused. As this surplus has now been spent on supporting these initiatives, we are in principle no longer able to offer grants and our funds are once again dedicated to our flagship events, working groups and the Human Rights Here blog. We will endeavour to continue to offer limited research workshop funding if funds allow. Please keep an eye on our newsletter for announcements.
