This conference, hosted at the T.M.C. Asser Instituut and co-organised with Queen’s University Belfast, explored how Transitional Justice (TJ) can be used innovatively to counter terrorism. Focusing on the cases of Northern Ireland and Colombia, it examined TJ's potential to reduce terrorism, enhance national security, and promote reconciliation by centering victims and fostering accountability, truth, and justice.
